Jakarta Rusunawa Economic Creative Exhibition Held at City Hall

Jakarta Provincial Government holds Jakarta Rusunawa Economic Creative Exhibition (E-Kerja) at Blok G Building of City Hall from today to tomorrow, Thursday (4/26).

This is the first project to unite all sides, and we want its continuation

That exhibition is held to promote handicrafts which made by residents of Jakarta flats.

Jakarta PKK Team Leader, Veronica Tan said, in this exhibition, her side invites businessmen to see directly the handicrafts which made by trained flats residents.

"This is the first project to unite all sides, and we want its continuation. We also invite NGO (Non-Government Organization) to show the handicrafts," she said, Wednesday (4/26).

She explained handicraft training has been done in several flats, such as Marunda Flat, Rawa Bebek Flat, and Daan Mogot. It also has various training, such as sewing, knitting, batik painting, and others.

"The point is, we uniting the NGO, UKM, and flat residents. There is a potential in here. Government can facilitate but these businessmen who will buy it," she added.

She continued the ground floor in each flat will be developed as home industry. Thus, residents, especially for mothers can have their own income.

"We will keep facilitating. Later on, flat's ground floor will become home industry and artists place," she closed.
